20 Ways to Increase Blog Visibility

I am new to SEOmoz and love learning new things in Internet marketing. Let me share some tips to increase your blog visibility. If there are any mistakes or suggestions, please comment.
- Use social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Sphinn, Mixx and del.icio.us to bookmark your sites and blog content.
- Create an online community in Google, Yahoo, Orkut, etc. and try to get as many members as possible and also try to be active in the communities.
- Sign in to Google feedburner, burn your blog feeds, and then add an e-mail subscription link on your blog.
- Write an e-book or get it written by some experts and make it available to your site readers. Add your logo and services in that e-book.
- Write an article related to your site and submit it to article sites.
- Allow guest bloggers to blog on your blog.
- Join online communities related to your field and try to help fellow community members and add a signature link to your blog.
- Test your blog and make it compatible to all browsers.
- Use Google Analytics to track your visitors to get an idea about what they actually want from your blog. Then try to give them what they want.
- Make quality newsletters for your subscribers and send out useful newsletters on a weekly basis.
- Do-follow commenting helps to get traffic and back links. Don’t misuse it; make sure you take your time and write a quality comment.
- Make a YouTube channel .Use your handicam to create small video sessions in your niche. Brand your videos; add your site’s advertisement at the start of the video.
- Sponsor online or offline events relating to your niche.
- Write a neat press release and publish at online PR sites such as PRweb.com.
- Use alt tags for images. (See Matt Cutts explaining about importance of image alt tags)
- Ask your friends to give you honest feedback on your site.
- The best way to find someone to do any kind of work on your site is through personal recommendation.
- Create a Squidoo lens.
- Add a poll widget on your blog, People always love to participate. It will get repeated visitors and traffic.
- Help people in Yahoo Answers. It will give you lots of traffic.
