Working with new clients, establishing what strategies will be most impactful to their goals — this is what makes working at an agency awesome, but it can also be challenging work. Emily Smith shares the framework her agency uses for focusing on future goals and actions, not just evaluation of the past.
After working in-house and diversifying her digital marketing skills, Emily moved to agency life in 2013 and has spent the last few years focused on technical SEO for national and international companies in the retail and technology verticals. Woven into these experiences was her growing fascination with team dynamics and collaboration which ultimately lead her to the Consulting Team Lead role with Distilled in 2015.
Outside of work, Emily can be found adventuring with her two Goldendoodles (Linus and Brimley), hunting down a good (double, short, no foam) latte or riding one of her many bicycles. In a past life Emily raced downhill mountain bikes professionally and worked as a guide, leading people on backpacking, sea kayaking, ice climbing and backcountry skiing trips in the PNW area.
