Hey Everyone,

Here is the situation : Currently, a website's sub domain is being redirected to the main website home page. We're having issues getting the sub domain pages indexed. Just want to confirm that it is because of the redirect on the sub domain URL. Should we kill the sub domain redirect and set it up as it's own page? Will that solve the indexing issue for the sub domain pages.

More explanation below:

subdomain.domain.com currently redirects to domain.com

We're having issues indexing pages belonging to the sub domain ( subdomain.url.com/page1 or subdomain.url.com/page2)

What is the best process to track conversions/visits in Google Analytics when running an email campaign that links to both a sub-domain and then the main domain?

To elaborate further, we have an email marketing campaign that directs users to a subdomain (e.g. promos.website.com) within the subdomain we include our products. Once a user clicks on the promos, they are taken to our main website (e.g website.product1.com).

What is the best process to track conversions from this email campaign that leads users to the sub-domain first, then to the main site (where the conversions take place)?

We have URL tagging in the Email Campaign - but not able to see the true conversions show up in Analytics on the main site.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Wondering if anyone has experienced 0 data in their Google Search Console (Search Analytics) and found possible solutions to retrieve data?

We have a few clients who, prior to the update to Google Search Console, were getting data regularly in terms of the Search Queries report, but ever since the update to Google Search Console, they are no longer receiving data.

As an FYI, both the www and non-www versions of the website are verified in Search Console and the XML Sitemaps and Robots.txt files are clean, tested and working fine.

Any insights or experience of sites showing 0 data in Search Analytics?

Any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

We've noticed recently on an E-Commerce website that we manage that PayPal has recently shown a large increase in Referral Traffic on the website.

Is anyone having an experience with this and how can we block it? It seems like its counting the traffic that leave to PayPal to complete a purchase and then return to the site as increased traffic.

The increase started to occur around April 29, 2015 and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with any recent updates made by PayPal?

Any insight or other experiences would be greatly appreciated.

2nd Vote for Screaming Frog. Tried a lot of tools to pull info on all the URL's and this tool is by far the best one for the job.

Thanks for your opinion Andrew. Wondering how much of an impact it makes if you dont utilize the "blog" in the URL structure and add in the Title directly (www.domain.com/title) especially when going after competitive keywords.Logically it would make more sense to have a structure like this (www.domain.com/blog/category/title)

I'd like to add amateur video testimonials to the list. Dove started the trend offline by getting actual customers to review the product in their ads and the same concept seems to work quite well online. One of our clients mailed out disposable cameras to their clients and had them record testimonials which were then used in a variety of campaigns including landing pages, email marketing and on their site. Led to an increased engagement as the clients themselves shared the website link where their testimonial was hosted with their friends/acquaintances. Not sure if this qualifies in the "very few people know of" category however i thought I'd still share it.

Your site appears to be spammy and not offering quality content to the visitors. The keyword "earn money online" has been used over 12 times , just in the meta data itself, This kind of over optimization is bound at attract a penalty. You have to write for the visitor and provide meaningful content, there are spelling errors on the site. This will not only impact your rankings but also the perception that visitors have of your site.

Google has stopped updating the page rank data in the toolbars so i would not worry too much about the PR info. Have your rankings suffered? Has your traffic dropped?

Be sure to add lots of independent references/sources for the content that you post on the page.

i do see the site ranking # 1 in Google.de , not for google.com and google.ca. It's definitely ranking at the top because of the exact match in the URL as well as keyword stuffing on the actual page itself. Google may not have rolled out the updates as aggressively for the international sites as they did for .com. I agree with eyepaq its only a matter of time before another high quality site knocks it off the top position.

Even though your facebook likes might not directly influence your rankings, they can definitely impact it through a lower bounce rate and a higher average time on site metrics. Welcome to this community. The ideal response to your question would be to take the content that the client is providing and come up with unique content based on that material. So essentially rewriting those content pieces and giving your own flavor to them. Now , of course, due to various reasons that might not be possible (time, budget, resources). In that case it's best to give credit to the original source where you got the content from, when you add it to the site. More info in the links below:
