The engineers I work with have developed a useful list of common mistakes that website owners make when using Google Analytics and site search, along with guidance for better understanding of what’s happening on your site.
As a Senior Software Engineer Team Leader for SLI Systems, I oversee three teams. The Software Engineer group is comprised of 40 Engineers who develop and maintain all client implementations. The two additional teams are a subset of the larger group and are responsible for analytics and support.
Additionally, I help clients understand the benefit and value of SLI products through measurement and analysis. My team offers support for Google Analytics, Yahoo Web Analytics and Adobe's Reports & Analytics product.
I play an integral role in product development and process creation and implementation as it relates to the Software Engineer teams.
Additional Background:
I am a South African/Italian that grew up in South Africa. I began my career working for Gambit Technologies (no longer around) as a Web Developer in 2001. For the next four years, I worked at Striata Communications starting as a Data Engineer and moving into a developer role working on many of Striata’s core products. In 2008, I joined SLI Systems in New Zealand.
