This post really doesn't need much of an introduction, so I'll get right down to it. Pubcon is coming! Pubcon is cooommiiinnnnggggg! It seems like the whole industry might just shut down for a week while we take over Las Vegas (I hope they're ready for us). This would probably be a great time for spammers to come in and take over our SERPs since we'll be busy in sessions, going to parties, meeting...
SEO conferences can be amazing opportunities for education and networking, but to get the most out of them, you have to survive until the end. If your average SEO conference is an endurance event, then PubCon is the Iron Man – 3 full days of sessions, followed by sponsored parties, followed by being dragged around Vegas by crazy people, topped off by a full afternoon of even more drinking (j...
The 1st half of October saw its fair share of search news, announcements, & blogger-mama drama. And from Twitter search to Google Analytics' new roll out, there were plenty of headlines beyond the back-and-forth between Derek Powazek & Danny Sullivan.
Distilled and SEOmoz are sponsoring a LondonSEO event this Tuesday (20th October): * when: Tuesday 20th October, from 6pm * where: Crown & Sceptre pub on the corner of Great Titchfield Street and Foley Street * how much: FREE! (free entry and free beer)
We're getting close to the end of the year, which means halloween, holiday parties and spending time with the family... That is unless you're a mozzer! The fall season has hit us full swing and we're out and about speaking and attending conferences, providing training and traveling from Sweden to Mexico to Vegas baby! Check out where we'll be over the next few months and hopefully we'll see you there!
It's day two of SEM Konferansen in Oslo, Norway, and rather than try to share content from the conference (which I'll attempt to do in a more formal post next week), I thought we'd return to some SEOmoz roots and do a photo mashup combined with my terrible sense of humor. Remember kids, no sleep + traveling to foreign countries = weird posts from Rand. ...
The time has come to register for the London PRO Training Series 2009: Tips, Tricks and Tactics. Building on the success of the recent Seattle event, we have gathered in London some of the best SEOs around and given them strict instructions to make their presentations as actionable and tips-focussed as possible. It's time to get your ticket for 19th-20th October.
From worthwhile industry reads to actionable YOUmoz articles, there was an abundance of scintillating reads this week in the search world.
From Oprah's affiliate smackdown to Fox News' list of jobs that will leave you friendless, there was no shortage of interesting news this week in the world of search.
We just wrapped up the first day of our Pro Training Series 2009, and what a day it was! I think most people would agree with me when I say that the speaker line-up was absolutely amazing!
This past week at SES San Jose 2009 gave me the most mixed emotions of any conference I've attended yet. There were parts I loved and parts I was disappointed in. Add that with trying to complete regular work plus cover the conference for SEOmoz, believe me it was a bit crazy.
Every search conference is usually filled with sessions, keynotes, site reviews, clinics, etc. If you're not at the conference you can usually follow the blogs and Twitter to get your daily dose of conference fare. These help keep you up-to-date on the sessions and general goings on.
The second day of SES San Jose is wrapping up, so it must be time for the Twitter roundup! There were a number of debates, someone was found sleeping in the first row drooling and another person claimed that most people at the session were probably already following him on Twitter.
