Overused phrases that you hear bad SEOs use, and what they actually mean.

  1. We guarantee number one rankings. We will take your money, stuff meta tags and then pretend we don't know who you are.
  2. We have a partnership with Google and we place our clients on top. Our website got banned once, so we know the re-inclusion request link.
  3. Top 10 rankings overnight. We just had our first client banned. You are next.
  4. We do not use any black hat tricks. We don't even know what that means. We don't wear hats at all.
  5. 100% manual submission to 10,000 websites and directories. Some people will believe anything.
  6. We only believe in quality link building. We submit to one directory per month.
  7. We only accept One Way Links from PR4+.  No one links to us anyway... might as well act pricey.
  8. We follow ethical SEO. We put up the meta tags and pray hard real hard.
  9. We understand the search engine algorithms. We understand that they change. And that's about it.
  10. Years of researching the search engines. Years of staring at Google.
