What’s covered?

In this guide, you’ll learn more about the Overview Dashboard of the Listings section of your Moz Local account.

Locating the Listings Overview

The Listings section within Moz Local gives you a detailed view of all your local listings and the completeness of your location data. It’s also where you can find information on GeoRank and Google Rankings.

When you first navigate to the Listings section, the Overview Dashboard is the default view. You can also access this section from the left-hand navigation. The data in this view can be seen for a single location, a group of locations, or all your locations (if you’re managing multiple within Moz Local).

If you’d like to see this data for a single location, select the location from the Location section first, then navigate to Listings

The Listings Overview Dashboard is made up of six sections:

  • Profile Completeness

  • Fields Status

  • Sync Status

  • Fields Awaiting Approval

  • Directories

  • Location(s)

We’ll cover each of these in detail below.

Profile Completeness

The first section of the Overview Dashboard is the Profile Completeness chart.

This chart allows you to see a broad overview of the overall completeness of your listings data. Within the chart, you’ll see the percentage of completed versus missing fields and the total number of fields.

While the Profile Completeness percentage is a good indicator of the overall health of your listing status, it may be slightly misleading. This is because it is calculated by giving equal weight to all the available location fields. So when looking at this percentage, keep in mind that almost all top directories will give more weight to certain fields that may contribute more highly to local rankings.

Field Status

In order to help you prioritize listing updates, we've also added sections where the location fields are divided by SEO impact. This can also help you get a more holistic view of your profile’s completeness. These sections are:

  1. Required — Includes listing name, phone number, address, and primary category

  2. Basic — Includes hours, attributes, short description, long description, website URL, and service areas

  3. Advanced — Includes keywords, payment forms, and price range

  4. Bonus — Includes email, brands, and languages

Use this breakdown of the fields to prioritize listing updates, making sure you’re covering the most important information for each of your locations. Click on any of these boxes to see a list of your locations and how many of the fields within each category are complete. Click on the listing to update the location data.

Sync Status

The next section of the Overview Dashboard shows the sync status of your listings and location data.

  1. Total Possible Listings — The number of listings able to be created for your location(s). This number will vary based on applicable publishers.

  2. Profile Suggestions — The number of suggested profile updates and additions.

  3. Locations Not Synced — The number of locations that have been updated by the user, but the updated location data is not yet synced to the directories due to auto-sync being off. Click the box to see which locations do not have auto-sync enabled.

  4. Locations with Issues — The number of locations that need to relink Google My Business and/or Facebook Pages. Click the box to see which locations need to relink.

When viewing your Listings Overview Dashboard at the account level (for all your locations), you will also see a Duplicates Removed section, which indicates the total number of duplicate listings detected and removed across all your locations.

Fields Awaiting Approval

The next section shows the number of Fields Awaiting Admin Approval. Admins can click anywhere on the Fields Awaiting Admin Approval box to view a list of the location fields currently pending approval. From there, Admins can click on any of the locations directly to either approve or reject the listing change requests submitted by the Managers. When a manager clicks on Fields Awaiting Approval, they will see a list of their pending changes. Managers can click anywhere in the Fields Awaiting Approval Box to access the Approval Tab specific to their individual location. From there, they can either edit or cancel their request.

Directories

The next section of your Overview Dashboard will display the logos of all the directories included with your subscription. Hover over the logo to see the full name of the directory.
