Can I take a free trial for a different subscription level or billing cadence?
The free trial is only available for the medium monthly subscription however you do have the ability to update your subscription level after enrollment. During the free trial you have the ability to update your subscription to standard or to move to an annual medium subscription while maintaining access to the free trial. Should you choose to upgrade to the large level subscription or higher, your free trial will end and you will be billed for the higher level subscription immediately. Any add-on purchases for your subscription will also bill immediately.
Sign Up With a Credit Card
The signup process requires a valid credit card. This allows your Moz membership to roll into a paid subscription should you decide keep your account open, helping you avoid any historical data gaps in your reporting.
Collecting credit card information also allows us to reduce fraud and maintain our free trial limit of one per customer.
Your credit card will not be charged during your free trial period. In some cases your card will be authorized which may require an authorization charge of up to $1. This is then instantly voided. After your 30-day trial, you will be charged each month thereafter. If you decide that Moz isn't for you, you can cancel anytime, both during and after your trial. Cancellation will stop future subscription renewals.
Cancel Your Free Trial
You can cancel renewal at any point during your free trial through your account to avoid being charged. You'll retain access to the tools for the rest of the 30 day free trial. Cancellation of your free trial should be done at least 24 hours prior to the end of trial date to ensure you are not charged. You can confirm your end of trial date in the subscriptions section of your account. For more information on how to cancel Moz Pro, please see our cancellation instructions here.
Email Notifications Regarding Trial
Prior to the end of your trial we will send you a few different emails to remind you of the time remaining. You will receive email notifications when you have 20 and 7 days remaining on your free trial.
You'll also receive an email notification when your free trial ends reminding you that the credit card on file will automatically be charged so there’s no interruption in service unless your free trial has been cancelled.
If your subscription is not cancelled prior to the end of the free trial and you are charged for the subscription renewal, you will receive an additional email confirming that payment has been processed .
To ensure receipt of these emails, please be sure the email on file for your account is one at which you can receive emails and that your email server is not blocking emails from [email protected] or [email protected].
Please note: All Free Trials are set to automatically renew as a paid subscription at the end of the trial. If you do not wish to continue your trial and do not want to be charged for a paid Moz Pro subscription, you will need to cancel the subscription in-app at least 24 hours prior to the end of the trial.
