Adding Labels to Keywords
Keyword Labels are a handy tool for sorting and organizing your Tracked Keywords. Also, if you're adding lots of keywords regularly, it can help to label them as you go. Since adding new keywords can impact your Search Visibility score, labeling as you go can help with data segmentation later.
To add labels to your existing tracked keywords, follow these steps:
- Head to the Rankings section in Moz Pro
- Scroll down to the Tracked Keywords Overview
- Select keywords using the left check box and click Add Label
- Select an Existing Label, or create a New Label and click Confirm
To label keywords as you add them to your Campaign, follow these steps:

Data Segmentation
With all your keywords neatly labeled it's super easy to view Search Visibility for clusters of keywords to track their performance over time.
Creating Labels in Your Campaign
If you need to create new labels within your Campaign to apply to keywords, there are 2 ways to do so. The first is to create the label in the Add Label popup as you’re labeling keywords (or within the Add Keywords interface, which also allows for label creation as you’re adding keywords).
The second is to create the label in the Manage Labels section of your Campaign Settings. Click Manage Labels from your Tracked Keywords Overview to get started.
To create a new label from your Manage Labels section, click Add Label, enter the new label name, and then click Add Label again. You will then be able to apply your new label to your Tracked Keywords within your Campaign.
Branded and Non-branded Keyword Labels
Branded keyword labels show up marked with a yellow label, whereas non-branded keyword labels are indicated by the gray label. You can manage your yellow-labeled branded keywords by using Brand Rules, which is available from your Campaign Settings. We’ll automatically mark all your Tracked Keywords that contain that keyword with the yellow branded label.
