The charge for the new subscription will include a prorated credit to account for the amount paid for the previous subscription level and the time left on your original subscription.
There are 2 ways to change your Moz Local subscription. The first is via your subscriptions page and the second is via the location’s Profile tab.

Upgrade Your Moz Local Subscription
When you choose to upgrade your subscription your plan this will take immediate effect. You’ll have access to the additional features right away and you’ll be charged for a new annual subscription minus the time left on your original Moz Local subscription.
For example, if you purchase the Lite plan on January 1st and opt to upgrade to the Preferred plan on June 1st, your new renewal date will be June 1st. The charge for the upgrade that day will be the Preferred plan cost minus the 6 months remaining on the Lite plan.
Downgrade Your Moz Local Subscription
If you want to change your Moz Local plan to a lower plan you’ll need to downgrade. Subscription downgrades are processed right away and a new annual subscription is started from the day you make the change. The charge for the new subscription will include a prorated credit for the time remaining on the original subscription level. If there is additional credit leftover from the amount charged for the original plan level, this will be added to your Moz account to be applied to a future invoice.
For example, if you purchase the Preferred plan on January 1st and opt to downgrade to the Lite plan on June 1st, your new renewal date will be June 1st. The charge for the downgrade that day will be the Lite plan cost minus the 6 months remaining on the Preferred plan.
Change Your Billing Cadence
Within Moz Local you have the ability to change how often you are billed. To change between monthly and yearly billing, or vice versa, you can follow the steps outlined below.
Please note: Monthly billing is only available for the Lite, Preferred, and Elite plans. If you are currently on a legacy Moz Local plan you will not have the option to switch to a monthly billing plan without also changing your plan level. For more information regarding current Moz Local plans, please see our pricing page.
From within your Moz Local account, head to the Profile of the location you’re wanting to update
Click Change Plan
Click See Plan Options
Select the new plan and/or billing cadence for your location
Click Continue
Confirm your choices and the charges for today
Changes to your plan level and/or billing cadence will go into effect immediately and your new billing date will be the date the changes are made to your subscription.
An annual plan will save you up to 25% off the monthly rate. When you choose to subscribe annually, your billing date will change to the date of the upgrade and the full annual cost will be charged at that point.
Keep in mind that these changes will start a new billing cycle from the upgrade date and will apply any amount overpaid as a credit to your account. This credit will then be applied to a future invoice on your account.
